Established over a decade ago, Raedial Farms Limited is a Nigerian corporation specializing in diverse agricultural activities, spanning Livestock Farming and Palm plantation farming, across an extensive land area of over 2509 hectares. We possess 15,509 hectares of land, with 2,509 hectares dedicated to oil palm cultivation. The remaining 13,000 hectares are available for farming other crops through potential partnerships.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Agric Technical Officer
Location: Benin City, Edo
Responsibilities
- Provide complex technical support and advice on aspects of agriculture such as research, production, servicing and marketing
- Provide ready samples for analysis, following appropriate procedures to ensure that they are stored, prepared, and disposed of properly.
- Implement and oversee efficient oil palm cultivation practices, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to plantation workers on various tasks, including planting, pruning, fertilization, and pest control.
- Monitor and assess crop health, identifying potential diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Develop and execute integrated pest management strategies to ensure healthy palm trees and high yields.
- Collaborate with plantation management to plan and implement irrigation systems for optimal water management.
- Conduct soil analysis and make recommendations for soil improvement and nutrient management.
- Assist in the development and execution of crop rotation and intercropping strategies to enhance overall farm productivity.
- Mixes soil, sand, and fertilizers according to specifications; prepares insecticide solutions and operates spray equipment on assigned plots and acreage for insect control.
Requirements
