Job Summary
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Animation and Multimedia Instructor/Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students in the field of animation and multimedia design.
- This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring animators and multimedia professionals.
Responsibilities
The following job description sets out the duties which you are to provide as an Animation and Multimedia Instructor/Trainer. The lists included for the Job description are not exhaustive and further requirements may be added:
- Design and deliver engaging and interactive instructional sessions, workshops, and demonstrations in animation and multimedia design.
- Develop comprehensive course materials, lesson plans, and projects that align with industry standards and meet the needs of students at various skill levels.
- Assess students' progress through assignments, projects, exams, and critiques, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students as they work on animation and multimedia projects, troubleshooting software issues and offering solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in animation and multimedia design, and incorporate relevant advancements into the curriculum.
- Mentor and advise students on career paths, portfolio development, and industry networking opportunities to help them succeed in the field.
- Collaborate with other instructors, staff, and management to maintain a positive and productive learning environment and ensure the overall success of the institute's animation and multimedia programs.
- Participate in professional development activities, training workshops, and conferences to enhance personal skills and knowledge in animation and multimedia design.
- Handle other task as assigned.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Computer Science, Animation, Multimedia, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proven 2-3 years of working experience as a Tutor in animations, multimedia designer, or related role.
- Strong technical proficiency in animation software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects), Autodesk Maya, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, or instructional design is preferred.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring, with a commitment to fostering student success and professional growth.
- Proximity to job location is key.
