Job Description
- As an Accountant at our Luxury Beauty Salon, You will work closely with the management team to provide coverage across accounting, strategic insights, financial analysis, and support decision-making processes to profitability and sustainable growth.
- The Ideal candidate will have Theoretical and practical experience in accounting and financial planning & Analysis (FP&A), with proficiency in budgeting, audit, forecasting, payroll processing, accounting, and Regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting ng, and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key drivers, and provide actionable insights to optimize revenue, control costs, and improve profitability.
- Prepare variance analysis and reports to monitor KPIs and assess business performance against targets.
Budgetng & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual operatng budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Update forecasts based on changing business dynamics and market condition.
Accounting & Financial Reportng:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supportng schedules.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure Compliance with statutory requirements.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of tax regulations and ensure timely and accurate filings, Including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory payments.
- Assist in tax planning initiatives to optmize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities to address any inquiries or compliance issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
- Professional certfications MBA or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CFA, ICAN) are a plus, and can be taken in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail,beauty or any service industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgetng software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
