Job Description
- The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and ensuring high-quality food presentation.
- The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards.
- Ensure that all food products are of the highest quality and meet customer expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items and utensils.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning and development, and contribute ideas for new dishes or specials.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working as part of a team.
- Prform any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an OND / NCE / HND qualification with 1 - 2 years relevant work experience.
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service establishment.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and culinary terminology.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt to changing menu requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Food Handler's Certificate or relevant culinary certification is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Salary
N30,000- N50,000 Monthly.
