Job Description
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Food and Beverage Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our food and beverage department.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with specific experience in the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage all financial aspects of the food and beverage operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Monitor costs associated with food and beverage production, analyze variances, and implement cost-control measures.
- Oversee inventory levels, minimize waste, and optimize ordering processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards, including tax laws and food safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain budgets, prepare financial forecasts, and provide financial guidance to management.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with food and beverage suppliers, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate financial activities and support overall business objectives.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in financial processes and controls within the food and beverage department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Years of experience in accounting or finance, with specific experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
