The Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse is a state government higher education institution located in Dutse, Jigawa State, Nigeria. The Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse was established in 2007 after the takeover of Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic by the Federal Government of Nigeria and renamed to Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic.
The Governing Council of the Polytechnic invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Polytechnic Librarian
Location: Dutse, Jigawa
Responsibilities
- Polytechnic Librarian is the Head of Library department and he is responsible to the Rector in the general administration of the Department.
- Formulating overall library polices, initiating personnel contact and liaising with relevant department
- Preparation of library budget.
Requirements
- A holder of MLS with at least 15 years cognate experience or recognized Degree plus post graduate qualification in Library Science and at least 15 years cognate experience.
- A holder of PhD in Library Science with at least 12 years cognate experience.
- Registration with a relevant recognized professional body.
- Knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an added advantage.
