Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Specific Responsibilities and Tasks Responsibilities
- To provide business partnering and support to teams, including providing technical and finance assistance and taking part monthly meetings.
- Assist in the investigation of Budget versus Actual variances as highlighted by budget holders or teams.
- Working with the Finance Business Partner and programme teams, prepare interim and final financial reports as they fall due.
- Provide technical support and assistance to budget holders during the annual budget planning process
- Provide support with uploading the approved annual budgets on the accounting system
- Create project codes on the accounting system for new projects
- Working with the Finance Business Partner, deliver accurate and timely comparative management reports to the teams
- Support the Financial Accountant and Finance Business Partner in attending promptly to all queries during project and statutory audits.
- Support the Finance Business Partner with the maintenance of the Budget tool, ensuring the integrity of the tool at all times
- Develop and maintain relationships with other members of the finance team.
- Provide absence cover within the finance team to ensure continuity of services
- Take part in finance induction of new staff members as appropriate
- Participate in regular Finance team meetings.
- Participate in internal meetings and organisation wide meetings and initiatives.
- Participate in regular line management sessions, semi-annual and annual appraisals and keep the HR Information system up to date.
- Provide cover for other members of the Finance team during holidays, sickness or other absences and in emergencies.
- Positively engage in CR’s work on safeguarding and help us all to keep people safe.
- Engage in programme and organizational learning, contributing to organisation learning events (including organizational retreats and other activities).
- Perform other duties and tasks, consistent with the skills and expertise of the post-holder, as required in non-routine circumstances.
Qualifications
- BSC/HND in Finance or Accounting
- 5 years or more experience in Project Accounting in a Manufacturing Firm.
- Must be conversant with analysis of financial statements.
- Hand on experience in financial report presentation.
- Proficiency in the use of SAP- Financial module, is a MUST
Salary
N450,000 / Month Gross (Additional benefits: HMO, Paid Leave etc)
