Job Title: Account and Administrative Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos



Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Monitoring cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Processing payroll accurately and on time, calculating wages, deductions, and overtime.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements related to payroll.
  • Overseeing day to day administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, organizing files, maintaining supplies, etc.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing correspondences, including emails, phone calls and letters. Also, responsible for drafting memos and reports.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and filing systems.
  • Ensuring that office equipment is properly maintained and coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary.

Educational Qualification and other Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or any other related disciplines from reputable educational institutions
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge, verbal and written communications skills
  • Between the ages of 25 - 35 years
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations in the industry
  • Working knowledge and experience of an accounting software / ERP
  • One to two years experience required.
