Job Title: Interior and Creative Specialist

Location: Abuja (FCT)



Employment Type: Full-time

Overview

  • S/he will be responsible for the overall coordination of the interior functions, interface with potential, and existing clients and generate new clients, develop decorative plans, select decorative elements, manage clients and company’s budgets and schedules, install, and arrange decorations, coordinate subcontractors, and drive the full operations of the interior subsidiary of the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate site visits and inspections as needed for new and existing clients.
  • Oversee the determining of space requirements, selecting essential and decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials.
  • Oversee clients’ requests, design needs, and project completion.
  • Coordinate with client in meetings to understand their design needs, and preferences regarding interior styles and colors, and make recommendations where necessary.
  • Create design sketches, color themes, and ideas based on client requirements and space availability.
  • Interface directly with clients and ensure approval from clients before creating CAD designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors.
  • Identify contractors and vendors needed to implement design ideas, such as Carpenters, Painters, Plumbers, Electricians, and Artists, and coordinate their engagements.
  • Identify required raw materials and oversee procurement of all raw materials and items required to complete the clients’ project.
  • Maintain communication with clients and other stakeholders to ensure prompt project completion as scheduled.
  • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and management.

Qualifications / Required Competencies

  • B.Sc / HND in Architecture, interior or other related Degree.
  • 3-7 years experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a strong team player and must be able to motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience working in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions) will be an added advantage.
  • Good communication, writing, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work without supervision from conception to completion of a project cycle.
  • A self-starter and a self-motivated specialist
  • Strong coordination and project management skills
  • Creative talent, imagination, and eye for design
  • Driving skills with a valid driver's license
