We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fine Art Tutor

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time

Instruction and Mentoring:

  • Teaching Techniques and Concepts - Demonstrating and explaining various artistic techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Curriculum Development - Designing and developing lesson plans and curricula that meet educational standards and cater to different learning styles.
  • Personalized Instruction - Providing individualized instruction to students to help them improve specific skills and reach their artistic potential.
  • Critique and Feedback - Offering constructive criticism on students' work, helping them understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Inspiring Creativity - Encouraging creativity and self-expression in students, helping them develop their unique artistic voice.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assessment and Evaluation - Assessing students' progress and performance, maintaining records of their achievements and areas needing improvement.
  • Classroom Management - Creating a positive and productive learning environment, managing classroom dynamics, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Materials and Resources Management - Ensuring that necessary materials and resources are available and maintained, including ordering supplies as needed.

Professional Development:

  • Staying Current - Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and developments in the field of fine art.
  • Continuing Education - Participating in workshops, conferences, and other professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Student Engagement and Support:

  • Mentoring - Providing guidance and support to students regarding their artistic and academic goals, career advice, and opportunities for further study or exhibitions.
  • Extracurricular Activities - Organizing and overseeing extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and field trips to galleries and museums.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaboration with Colleagues - Working with other teachers, administrators, and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
  • Communication with Parents and Guardians - Keeping parents and guardians informed about students' progress and any issues that may arise.

Institutional Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to Policies - Following school or institution policies and procedures, including safety protocols and ethical standards.
  • Contribution to School Community - Participating in school or institution events, meetings, and committees as needed.


  • NCE and any other relevant certification
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant teaching experience
