Position Overview

  • As an Occupational Therapist & Vocational Training Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to enhance the quality of life for our participants.
  • You will be responsible for providing both onsite and remote support, utilizing your skills in occupational therapy and vocational training to help individuals develop essential life skills, achieve independence, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify participants' strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and vocational training programs tailored to each participant's unique requirements.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and vocational training sessions, both onsite and through remote platforms, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to optimize participant outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants in developing essential life skills, vocational skills, and job readiness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress, session notes, and relevant data in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Valid licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including but not limited to physical disabilities, developmental disorders, and mental health conditions.
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, vocational training methodologies, and assistive technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing remote communication and therapy platforms.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
