The Heartitudes Foundation reaches out to help those who are truly in need of help, especially in the areas of health and medical care. It has achieved a lot in the areas of promoting and improving healthy living standards, footing the medical bills of those who need it and rehabilitating patients back into the larger society.

Job Title: Proposal Development Specialist (Volunteer)

Position Overview
- As the Proposal Development Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, and securing funding from a variety of sources, including government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
- You will work closely with program staff, senior leadership, and external partners to develop compelling proposals that align with our organizational priorities and funding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Research funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources that align with our organizational priorities and programmatic areas.
- Develop grant proposals, concept notes, and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff and senior leadership, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and guidelines.
- Coordinate the proposal development process, including timeline management, content development, and review and editing of proposal drafts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, public administration, international development).
- 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or fundraising, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling narratives.
- Demonstrated success in securing funding from government agencies, foundations, and/or private donors.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of grantmaking processes, fundraising best practices, and donor cultivation strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grants management software (e.g., Salesforce, Grants.gov).
- Commitment to our organization's mission and values, with a passion for driving positive social change.
