Position Summary

  • The Program Associate (Research/QI/M&E Lead) will play a critical role in a project focused on Advanced HIV Disease (AHD).
  • This position will be responsible for supporting and overseeing research, quality improvement (QI), and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities within the project.
  • He or She will work closely with project teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting of project activities across supported locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support research activities in line with project objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and impact.
  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress and outcomes.
  • Analyze project data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify areas for program improvement based on research and evaluation findings.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building to project staff and partners on research, QI, and M&E methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and best practices in research, QI, and M&E activities.
  • Contribute to knowledge management and dissemination of project results through presentations, publications, and conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field, a Master's degree in a related field will be an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in research, quality improvement, and monitoring and evaluation in public health programs, preferably within HIV setting, with a focus on pediatrics.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in use of data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, STATA, or R).
  • Experience with research study design, implementation, protocol development and data collection methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of ethical considerations in research and evaluation.
